” Retiring Sale”

We have just purchased from Trieste Italy, this wonderful originally an Italian registered from new Right Hand Drive model, as shown by its type number of 815-331, to be a 1964 second series, with the single carburettor 1800cc engine. In outstanding condition with its refreshed original Saratoga White coloured coachwork, also with original Magnolia Leather interior.

First registered in Torino, Italy to Otfarrio Massiuno its first elderly owner (1921), in 1966 it went to its second owner, the family of Carle & Stefano Panero (1904)in Torino, till in 1979 transferred to Giacomo Fissore (1914) in Torino

It was then In 1995 it was transferred to its current owner Francesco Bedini in Belluno, who then moved to Trieste with his wife Michele Chiappa in 2003. It was while in his ownership some years ago the paintwork was refreshed only.

We ourselves first viewed her in Trieste a couple of years ago at the Lancia specialists where she was kept & maintained for him over the years, exactly in the condition as she has just arrived over in.

We are arranging to register here on a Historic Age Related registration.

As age has caught up with us we are retiring more, so our collection is going to auction. Now can be viewed by appointment through Charterhouse Auctions at their salerooms in Sherborne Dorset.

Testimonials

  • I would like to thank Paul and his staff for my Fiat 130 Saloon (2.8) - a wonderful car! I was impressed with the service given, the car was presented to a very good standard, any issues which Paul had found with the car, he pointed out to me before I purchased the car, so no hidden horrors! I also was pleased with the delivery service for the car, which was carried out at a very reasonable cost. I would be more then happy to use Classics & Cabriolets again.Neil Clark - Fiat 130
  • Still happily driving around in the SM, since I bought the car now 2 years ago I have done about 8000 kms. The car is sublime and I intend to drive it to Monaco and back...Henk de Vries III - 1971 Citroen SM
  • I bought the car from you three years ago... (it) has performed excellently over that time. I have been very pleased with its performance and reliability... I did not appreciate how much of a head turner it would be at shows, if I park it for twenty minutes in a public car park I often come back to find people admiring it or taking photographs....John Turton - Citroen SM
  • After having driven the SM some 2000 km and more. I am well satisfied with the car. I think your description of the car on the net was correct. I am also happy with the way the business was conducted and concluded. We entered the Monte Carlo Historique Rally with the SM earlier this year and the SM performed well but we did not! We got lost on the last night section and got time barred!Agnar Dalseg - Citroen SM
  • In 2006 I bought this 1972 Lancia 2000 Saloon from Classics and Cabriolets. They were very patient with my rather cautious approach and when I did fly down to see the car I was collected from Luton Airport and driven in the car to see their base and returned again to Luton that same day. The car was exactly as described and has proved to be a worthwhile purchase over the 7000 miles since then.Tom Hutton - Lancia 2000
