Recently arrived in the collection from Malo, Italy, an early SB Carburettor model of these wonderful Citroen SM Maserati cars.
With three previous owners, before the last one a Snr Edidio Castellani born in 23/01/1947, that we have just purchased it from, who has owned the car for nearly 40 years since 1985.
It is in its original lovely Pale Metallic Gold colour, which compliments its excellent exterior chrome & stainless brightwork, it even has the rare, retained correct exhaust tailpipe trims.
It retains its original Black Leather interior, which is in outstanding condition as being over 50 years old.
Also all the interior carpets, trim, headliner are original, and also has the, very rare original radio.
It is now MOT’d, although exempt and is registered, on an Age-related Historic registration number.
As age has caught up with us we are retiring more, so our collection is going to auction. Through the Charterhouse Auctions at the Haynes Int. Motor Museum in Sparkford in Somerset, on 23rd October.

After having driven the SM some 2000 km and more. I am well satisfied with the car. I think your description of the car on the net was correct. I am also happy with the way the business was conducted and concluded. We entered the Monte Carlo Historique Rally with the SM earlier this year and the SM performed well but we did not! In 2006 I bought this 1972 Lancia 2000 Saloon from Classics and Cabriolets. They were very patient with my rather cautious approach and when I did fly down to see the car I was collected from Luton Airport and driven in the car to see their base and returned again to Luton that same day.
