Fiat Dino 2.4 Bertone Coupe

Sold

A stunning original 1971 example of this rare 2400 model, that we brought over from Milano ourselves in 2007, that we have been asked by its only owner here in the UK, to make available for a new owner.

Still wearing its unbelievably original Rosso Red paintwork, with its original near unmarked Grey Velour interior and trim, just as we brought her those years ago from the first owner in Italy.

The wonderful engine in these 2400 models was upgraded from the 2000 model’s engine with a Cast Iron Block also being manufactured by Ferrari itself, mated to a Five speed Dogleg gearbox.

Assembly of this model was the only one of the range, that took place completely in the Maranello factory.

Although all original on the Exterior & Interior, she has been upgraded on some minor electrical items, but all original parts are with her.

It is UK registered on an Historic tax exempt, age related registration number, also being MOT exempt. Although will be MOT’d prior to a sale.

“Sorry” now sold and on her way to the new owner in the sunny climes of Florida USA.

If you are looking for one of these, maybe we can assist through our extensive contacts to locate another example.

Testimonials

  • I would like to thank Paul and his staff for my Fiat 130 Saloon (2.8) - a wonderful car! I was impressed with the service given, the car was presented to a very good standard, any issues which Paul had found with the car, he pointed out to me before I purchased the car, so no hidden horrors! I also was pleased with the delivery service for the car, which was carried out at a very reasonable cost. I would be more then happy to use Classics & Cabriolets again.Neil Clark - Fiat 130
  • Still happily driving around in the SM, since I bought the car now 2 years ago I have done about 8000 kms. The car is sublime and I intend to drive it to Monaco and back...Henk de Vries III - 1971 Citroen SM
  • I bought the car from you three years ago... (it) has performed excellently over that time. I have been very pleased with its performance and reliability... I did not appreciate how much of a head turner it would be at shows, if I park it for twenty minutes in a public car park I often come back to find people admiring it or taking photographs....John Turton - Citroen SM
  • After having driven the SM some 2000 km and more. I am well satisfied with the car. I think your description of the car on the net was correct. I am also happy with the way the business was conducted and concluded. We entered the Monte Carlo Historique Rally with the SM earlier this year and the SM performed well but we did not! We got lost on the last night section and got time barred!Agnar Dalseg - Citroen SM
  • In 2006 I bought this 1972 Lancia 2000 Saloon from Classics and Cabriolets. They were very patient with my rather cautious approach and when I did fly down to see the car I was collected from Luton Airport and driven in the car to see their base and returned again to Luton that same day. The car was exactly as described and has proved to be a worthwhile purchase over the 7000 miles since then.Tom Hutton - Lancia 2000
